Liverpool coast - 2. Beach and the River Alt
di osfaflirt (14/06/2006 - 15:40)
Along the coast, the beach turns to sand dunes, grassy hillocks, and then forest. This time, we wandered to what looked like a temporary inlet, where the sea had randomly left a trickly in a small channel. This turns out to be a permanent bay, where the River Alt discharges into the estuary, and a Liverpool Yachting Club has its official marina further along.
Oil sands:
Patterns blown around stones
Whole sections of wall rounded by the sea
Green near the sea.
